The basic purpose of this position is to manage the development, d! istribution and maintenance of all communication material for Insurance Marketing. This position will work with all of Insurance Marketing to develop, implement and manage GuideStone -wide and divisional marketing strategies. It will also act as a liaison for all of Insurance Marketing to Communications and other areas as it relates to the production of communication pieces. Additionally, this position will provide back up, as needed, for our Marketing Development Writer.
- Take the lead in project management role to develop appropriate materials that fulfill the strategies of the annual Marketing Plan.
- Develop communication plans to implement marketing strategies for new and existing products and services.
- Coordinate distribution of materials to employers and participants.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of previously implemented marketing strategies.
- Assist in maintaining cost effective inventories of materials.
- Take the ! lead in creating and revising communication materials (print, ! web and multi-media).
- Work with other areas to ensure that communication regarding new marketing materials are consistent, accurate, timely, and professional.
- Determine appropriate content, design and timing of communication pieces to meet goals and objectives of division.
- Maintain current working knowledge of all Insurance products, services, policies and procedures.
- Work on special projects related to Insurance products and services, plans and policies.
- Travel occasionally to evaluate marketing efforts and serve as a “back-up†for the Financial Solutions and Services â€" Insurance area.
- Work with Web team to create and implement strategies and update web content.
- Other duties may be assigned. Overtime as required.
- Bachelor’s degree with a major or minor in Marketing, preferred.
- Travel up to 5% annually.
- Marketing certification or graduate studies in ! marketing, preferred.
- Proficient PC skills in MS Office and appropriate GuideStone system applications.
- Prior experience or education in marketing or sales.
- Prior experience or education in financial services is required.
- Serve as backup for writer position so strong writing skills required.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and establish deadlines needed.
- Ability to convert complex concepts into communication materials that are attractive, readable, clear and concise.
- Effectively address concerns of target audience in the insurance arena with communication materials.
- Self-starter with strong organizational skills.
- Advanced analytical and problem solving skills.
- Ability to adapt efficiently to urgent sensitive assignments and to negotiate and reschedule projects when priorities overlap.
- Excellent presentation and training skills.
- Broad, in-depth knowle! dge of insurance products and policies.
- Ability to quickly lea! rn new systems and processes and then share information with others.
- Ability to understand and interpret legislation and regulations applicable to insurance.
- Ability to quickly grasp technical concepts and translate them into understandable communication materials and forms.
- Project planning and project management skills.
- Understanding of systems supporting insurance.
- Advanced interpersonal communication skills. Must have complete confidentiality regarding GuideStone business matters.
