Location: Dallas, Texas

Description: Forest Park Medical Center Dallas is presently looking of Bariatric Insurance Clerk right now, this job will be presented in Texas. Responsible for detailed insurance verification and the ability to effectively communicate those benefits, staying current with changes in insurance requirements concerning policy changes and ! bariatric procedure coverage. Job duties may include assisting physician offices in all aspects of getting patients approved for bariatric surgery and keeping detailed logs with current information. Must communicate well with physician offices and patients in both verbal and written forms. Excellent organizational, interpersonal, telephone, documentation, and time management skills are needed. Promotes the hospital's mission and vision by assisting in the creation of an environment of teamwork and excellence in meeting the healthcare needs of the community. Reports to the Bariatric Insurance Manager. 2. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS Education: High School Diploma Experience and Qualifications: Preferred experience in bariatric insurance management. Preferred experience with insurance verification Licenses/Certificates: None 3. GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES 1 Detailed insurance verification for both hospital and physician benefits both in and out of network including bariatric specific! ities. 2 Create and maintain detailed insurance status logs pe! r physician as needed 3 Maintain close communication with key personnel in the surgeon's office to assure that all patients receive prompt and accurate verification.
