Position Description
The Consultant Workflow Optimization is responsible for the promotion and delivery of billable work of bioMérieux external customers. The position includes participation in the development of workflow optimization solutions. Major areas of responsibility include: The delivery of both on-site a! nd web based programs, a complete understanding of customer re! quirements, participation in the development of engagement deliverables and participating in cross-functional team efforts.
Business Development responsibilities-
- Allocate non-billable time to client-facing business development activities, reduced by time secured on billable client work
- Understand and shape client requirements into Workflow Optimization solutions
- Support the definition of a Workflow Optimization solution portfolio targeted at the three client market segments (clinical, biopharmaceutical, and agri-food)
- Develop thought leadership material to be used in Workflow Optimization solution offerings
- Deliver Workflow Optimization Solutions project work
- Meet a minimum of 50 billable time target on client delivery efforts
Required Skills/Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree i! n Science or related discipline
- 5+ years microbiology lab experience
- Experience in Consulting organization/environment, preferably services
- Demonstrated expertise in lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies including experience in DMAIC, value stream mapping, just-in-time-principles, 5S, Kaizen, SIPOC and Six-Sigma.
- Adaptability when confronted with changes and ambiguity
- Strategic orientation and business acumen
- Strong analytic and problem solving ability
- Judgment and strategic thinking
- Team player with good communication skills
- Self-directed and independent
- Ability to prioritize and work well under pressure
- Ability to participate in several projects simultaneously
- Fundamental understanding of bioMérie! ux product lines
- MT (ASCP) or equivalent, Six Sigma and LEAN a! wareness, MS Project, Visio, and Sigma XL proficiency
