Job Summary:
The Sr. Systems Engineer provides technical leadership for VHA's growing Unified Communications infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
Design, install, troubleshoot, document and support the U! C platform based on Microsoft Lync 2010 & 2013, Exchange 2010,! and associated 3 rd party applications.
Provide problem determination and resolution support for UC applications
Demonstrate strong technical leadership skills with a focus on results
Provide 3 rd level support and assistance to Junior level team members
Willingness to assist and effectively communicate with peers across the organization
Demonstrate solid project management skills
Promote teamwork and customer satisfaction

Microsoft Lync 2010 & 2013
Audiocodes Media Gateways & EMS
Voice MPLS networks and SIP trunks
Microsoft Exchange 2010 SP3
McAfee Mail Gateway Meg7.5
Symantec Enterprise Vault and Clearwell Discovery
Esker LAN Faxing
Cisco Call Manager
Desired Skills and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required
MCSE certification preferred
Minimum two yea! rs server level experience with Microsoft Lync 2010 & 2013 and Microsoft Exchange 2010 Unified Messaging
One year experience supporting and configuring Cisco Call Manager
Strong Windows 2008 Server OS and Active Directory skills
Strong Microsoft Office 2010, including Outlook and Visio, skills
Well versed in LDAP and network security
Knowledge of email gateways, support and administration, are a plus
Knowledge of archiving and monitoring technologies are a plus
