Due to our rapid growth we are seeking an experienced Picking and Logistics Lead to join our team in the Dallas, Texas fulfillment center. This position will coordinate the activities of production and operation team members. In our 3PL environment this person will assist in monitoring compliance with specified contract metrics to include inventory accuracy, fill rate, on time rate and order quality.
Responsibilities
Provide management feedback on the daily operational activities within the distribution center, including providing leadership to approximately 40 employees.
Recommend and implement measures to motivate employees to improve production methods, product quality, and efficiency.
Read and analyze charts, work orders, production schedules, and other records and reports to determine production requirements and to evaluate current production estimates and outputs.
Plan and establish work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet production goals.
Monitor picking transactions and suggest changes that reduce inventory shrinkage.
Observe work and monitor process flow, dials, and other indicators to ensure that operators conform to production or processing standards.
Review work-in-process to ensure that employees are following company policies and procedures and improve quality and safety within NDC’s operations.
Determine standards, production goals, and rates, based on company policies, equipment and labor availability, and workloads.
Ensures all policies are adhered to.
Assumes additional related responsibilities as required.
! Required Skills
High School Diploma or equivalent.
1 - 2 years of distribution center lead experience preferably in a 3PL environment on a large scale.
Hands-on working knowledge of RF and warehouse management systems.
Knowledge and experience in various types of assembly, pick-pack, order pulling, inventory and cycle count process and procedures.
Strong level of accuracy for submitted reports.
Ability to clearly communicate vision and expectations.
Ability to proactively identify problems and provide solutions.
Ability to work extended hours when needed.
