Position Requirements
** Nurse Educator ---- 2 positions available**
- Start Date: July 12, 2013
- 13 Week Contract
- Days 8:00am-5:00pm
- No on call requirements
- As needed Weekend requirements
- Certifications: BLS/CPR, BLS must be AHA
- Must be able to communicate effectively with professional nursing staff, medical staff and allied health professionals attending or lecturing in classes.
- Must have superior writing skills to compose course outlines, objectives a! nd manuals.
- Develops, implements, and evaluates house! wife and unit specific orientation and residency programs for new staff nurses, transferring nurses, and unlicensed assistive personnel.
- Educates orientees in policies, protocols, procedures, nursing standards, and management of specific patient populations as indicated.
- Participates in the evaluation of orientees' knowledge and skills to determine compliance with established standards.
- Develops, implements, and evaluates unit specific and housewife continuing education activities for nursing and UAPs; Provides ongoing competency evaluations and comprehensive educational needs assessments.
