The BG Staffing Technology team is looking to hire a Help Desk Support Specialist at our corporate office location in Plano, Texas to assist the companys 200+ employees with questions an! d issues while performing critical tasks within the companys technical landscape. To be considered for this vital position the candidate must possess the following skills and abilities. Skills Required: experience supporting Microsoft Windows XP, Vista, Windows 7 experience supporting Microsoft Office 2003, 2007, 2010 suites remote access experience (LogMeIn) ability to manage tasks and meet schedules and deadlines ability to write tech documentation that is clear and concise must have good organizational skills must have excellent verbal and written communication skills must have teamwork skills must be willing to work some overtime and overnight hours must be able to lift 50 lbs. knowledge of Active Directory, Remote Desktop Services, and Thin Client Technology a plus Experience and Education Associate Degree or equivalent preferred minimum of 2+ years of experience providing remote technical support via phone or email Duties and Responsibilities: 1) Help Desk Support res! pond to requests for technical assistance in-person, via phone! , electronically diagnose and resolve technical hardware and software issues effectively communicate with team about steps taken to resolve existing issues research questions using available information resources advise users on appropriate action follow standard help desk procedures log all help desk interactions in detail into Spiceworks redirect problems to appropriate resources identify and escalate situations requiring urgent attention immediately track and route problems and requests and document resolutions assist with creation and maintenance of procedure checklists in Spiceworks stay current with system information, changes and updates 2) Assistance with on-going management of BG Staffings infrastructure: day-to-day monitoring and management of backup systems day-to-day monitoring and management of client anti-virus systems day-to-day monitoring and management of hardware parameters / utilization on servers configure and deploy new and/or repaired computer equipmen! t 3) Assist with implementation and ongoing support of Virtual and Thin Client Workstations Physical Demands: This position requires extended periods of sitting while working with computers and viewing computer monitors and other office equipment.
Lifting up to approximately fifty pounds is required during tasks related to this job.
