We have an excellent opportunity for a Director, Hospital Accreditation in our National Center office in Dallas, TX.
The Director, Hospital Accreditation will be responsible to define, create, implement and evaluate the hospital accreditation business model. Under the direction of the Vice President of Quality and Health IT, this individual will provide leadership to the hospital accreditation team in the development, production, delivery and continuing evaluation of the hospital accreditation business model and subsequent standards, policies and protocols.
Major Responsibilities Include:
Directs and leads the development and execution of the AHA/ASA Hospital Accreditation business model.
Lead on partnership model development, execution and relationship management for hospital accreditation.
Directs and manages h! ospital accreditation activities and team, ensuring compliance! with policies, procedures and processes as outlined in the hospital accreditation model.
Provide accreditation team guidance on creating and implementing standards of accreditation to meet accreditation criteria.
Cultivates and manages organizational relationships with accreditation organizations.
Oversees and leads continued development and management of the survey process for the hospital accreditation program.
Staff lead on Hospital Accreditation Business Management Committee and Hospital Accreditation Science Review Committee.
Assist with workforce planning and direction of the hospital accreditation operations team.
Selects, manages, trains and evaluates managers and other staff as assigned. Provides direction and leadership to managers and hospital accreditation staff.
Works collaboratively with communications and marketing to position the hospital accreditation model to include visual brand and logo iden! tification.
Assists with development and execution of program specific marketing and communications plans to drive program growth and positioning objectives.
Work collaboratively with volunteers on development and execution of the hospital accreditation model, including potential marketing opportunities.
Responsible for hospital accreditation fiscal responsibilities, including budget development, budget reporting and staff performance management.
Pursue and generate additional business opportunities and follow up services for the hospital accreditation model.
Required Qualifications Include:
Master's degree in business, healthcare management or similar/related field.
Minimum of 8 years significant senior manager experience in healthcare.
Knowledge of hospital and/or healthcare, including policies, standards, disease specific program management, accreditation, recognition, and certification programs. C! linical experience a plus
Proven ability to manage in a team e! nvironment, including planning, budgeting, and assigning and directing projects, resources and people.
Proven ability to create a vision, develop a business plan and execute the plan on an association wide basis.
Strong analytical, organizational, communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills required.
Organized and detailed oriented, capable of handling multiple priorities, and working independently.
Supportive, customer service-oriented attitude with a demonstrated ability to attain results
Ability to travel up to 50% of the time including occasional evenings and weekends.
