The company is headquartered in Spartanburg, SC, and is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Fujikura Ltd. of Japan.Perform the installation, terminating, labeling, tes! ting, and troubleshooting of voice, data, and fiber optic prem! ise distribution systems, including, but not limited to the following: Installation of Cable Support Systems such as cable trays, ladder racks, J-hooks, bridle/D-rings. Installation of Work Area Outlets Pulling Backbone Cable (UTP/ScTP/STP-A) Pulling Horizontal Cable (UTP/ScTP/STP-A).
Firestopping including coring of firewall, installing sleeves and firestoping. Pre-Termination - organize, form, dress cables, determine length/slack, label cables. Termination - complete IDC terminations, UTP, STP-A, cross-connect blocks, patch panels. Connectors - assemble and install 8-pin modular connectors, coaxial connectors, demonstrate connector color codes.
Testing - use tone test set, volt-ohm meter, diagnose open, shorted, crossed, and split pairs, active circuits, and use industry standard test equipment. Retrofits- remove abandoned cables. Safety - demonstrate common safety practicesSkills/Requirements High School diploma or equivalent required.3-5 years experien! ce as a Network Services Installer.Must have working knowledge of the EIA/TIA installation standards.Must possess the ability to troubleshoot premise distributions systems and layout a project; includes the ability to read and interpret blueprints.Must be proficient in the use of all tools, equipment, and testers related to premise distributions systems work.Must have working knowledge of construction, electrical work and other systems.Strong interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills combined with technical understanding of voice, data, and fiber optic systems.Apply To This Job
