Manage, train, schedule, inspect and evaluate the productivity and performance of all Front Office staff, Reservations Agents, PBX Operators, Conc! ierge and Valet Attendants ensuring that all procedures are performed to the hotel's standards. Performs the daily responsibilities of these positions and assists where necessary to ensure optimum service to guests/visitors. Responsible for the management of all aspects of the Front of House functions, in accordance with hotel standards. Direct, implement and maintain a service and management philosophy which serves as a guide to respective staff, assisting where necessary to ensure optimum service to guests and associates.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Essential:
Bachelors Degree in hospitality management or equivalent.
2 years' experience as a Front Desk Supervisor or Assistant Manager, preferably in a luxury 5 Star / 5 Diamond Hotel.
Thorough knowledge of hotel services and amenities.
Ability to compute basic arithmetic.
Familiarity with yield management and cost controls.
Extensive knowledge of property manag! ement system (Visual One)/computers/point of sales system.
Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and chemical handling, requirements and use of equipment
Knowledge of hotel's telephone system and key card system.
Fluency in English. Strong written, verbal, and non-verbal communication.
Ability to:
Perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy.
Possess strong organizational skills.
Display sound judgment and possess strong problem solving skills.
Follow directions thoroughly.
Understand guest's service needs.
Work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team.
Work with minimal supervision.
Maintain confidentiality of guest information and pertinent hotel data.
Ascertain departmental training needs and provide such training.
Direct performance of staff and follow up with corrections when needed.
Speak in front of a group.
Develop, implement and monitor operational plans.!
Develop departmental budgets and forecast labor/expenses throughout the year.
