Seeking a candidate for an HR Generalist in our manufacturing facility in Rochester, NY.
Responsibilities
This position plays a key role in providing both strategic and tactical human resources support to develop and coordinate programs which directly support the achievement of manufacturing operational objectives. This position supports the HR Manager in managing the day-to-day Human Resource function including: employee relations, recruiting and selection, HR compliance, training and development, performance review, and succession planning.
- Responsible for remaining up-to-date on relevant fede! ral employment laws and other human resources compliance issue! s.
- Acts as a resource to management and employees in resolving matters related to employee relations.
- Acts as a resource to management and employees on the interpretation and implementation of plant policies and practices as well as with relevant state, federal and local employment laws.
- Coach and advice managers on performance related issues, promotions and restructuring of departments or job responsibilities.
- Conducts analysis of job functions and design of job responsibilities.
- Overall equity and appropriateness within departments.
- Partner with managers and human resource staff to ensure effective management and development of employees.
- Manage all aspects of employee relations including investigations, counseling to management and employees, conflict mediation and resolution, etc.
- Conduct exit interviews, analyze data for trends and make necessary recommendations to management team.
- Meet st! affing needs for full-time and temporary staffing positions by identification and effective use of internal and external resources.
- Other duties/projects as assigned.
As a member of the Human Resources team, the successful candidate will have excellent communication skills at all levels. The Human Resource Generalist will collaborate with peers to deliver consistency in human resource solutions throughout the organization.
- BA/BS degree in HR related field is required
- Minimum 3 -- 5 years of related experience in a generalist role
- Minimum 3 years of HR experience in a Manufacturing environment preferred
- Key skills and abilities include coaching, influencing, facilitation, process development, analysis and problem solving.
- PHR certification preferred
- Must possess strong communication skills, collaboration skills, and computer skills with demonstrated proficiency i! n Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Working knowledge of EEO, NY Sta! te and Federal employment laws.
- Experience with Manufacturing Safety requirements and regulations
