Position Summary
The Coordinator, Project is an integral member of the Furniture sales
team from the sales prospecting phase and throughout the customer
engagement phase. This position is responsible for working closely with
sales associates enabling the sales team to focus on direct customer
interaction and/or direct sales activities. In addition, this position
will be responsible for customer account support, and interaction with
various OfficeMax departments, vendors, and furniture manufacturers.
Position Responsibilities / Essential Functions:
1. Assist sales team in the acquisition of new Furniture customers and
provide support for ongoing retention activities for the existing
customer base. Serve as a resource for the sales ! team to enable team to
generate sales and retain business. May also provide general
administrative support to preferred manufacturers during the pre-sales
process.
2. Research, craft and assemble all proposals and bids targeted to the
customers' needs and requirements by collaborating with the sales team
and OfficeMax subject matter experts. Proposals and bids may include
pricing, discounts, installation cost. Collaborate with internal
Furniture support team and external vendor to accurately identify
product pricing, detailed specification, and estimate all aspects of
contract furniture projects.
3. Manage and monitor the furniture ordering process from ordering
acknowledgements; creating all installation packets and forwarding to
installation contractors; updating installation schedule dates;
identifying back charges; managing punch lists; initiating the claims
process for warranty issues; and tracking proof of de! liveries.
4. Facilitate new account and new vendor set-up and imple! mentation.
Ensure proper and thorough communications with sales team, other
Workspace associates, and customers.
5. Provide customer service. Clearly convey accurate, thorough or
relevant information related to status updates, problems and customer
issues to Workspace sales team in a timely manner that enables the sales
team to engage with the customer in an effective manner.
6. Serve as the contact point or liaison between Workspace and OfficeMax
centralized functions or departments and resolve any issues related to a
customer's order. Associate will interact with account maintenance,
accounts payable, OfficeMax customer service, electronic commerce,
information technology, inventory management, marketing, national
accounts, and sourcing teams.
7. Generate and update reports to ensure accurate and timely information
is available for the sales team and customers. Reports may include
customer status, backlog status,! and other general reports.
8. Demonstrate a commitment to OfficeMax core values.
