The
CT Technologist I,
under general direction, operates computerized tomography (CT) equipment to obtain cross-section radiographs of various body parts as ordered by the Physician. Also should be able to perform advanced exams such as CT Bx, CT angiography, virtual colonoscopy and cardiac scoring. Prepares patients, process images, and assists Physician as needed. Responsible for delegati! ng and coordinating patient care. Accountable for patient care! standards of safety, effectiveness, patient rights and guest relations. Provides education for patients and staff. Collaborates with other disciplines. Provides direct patient care for specific patient-age groups.
Maintains work area in a clean and orderly condition and ensures that it is properly supplied for procedures.
Checks equipment and accessories to ensure proper working order and notifies appropriate personnel for repairs.
Responds to inquiries/calls regarding procedures in a timely manner.
Communicates problems on shift with equipment or pending exams with appropriate staff.

Qualifications
ARRT (R) required, (CT) preferred
Minimum of 1 year of experience in CT, and CTA experience strongly preferred
Successful completion of a formal (Accredited) educational /training program for Radiology and or Medical Imaging.
