The SAP Master Data Consultant will play a crucial role in the Project mode of the SAP CoE in terms of defining the data migration approach related to data elements, ! source systems and cleansing methodology, partnering with the SAP Business Consultants during the Business Blueprint phase to understand the data requirements, and developing the future data specifications. The Master Data Consultant will lead the process of data extraction from the source systems, and define the data mapping to SAP, after which the data will be enriched and transformed in a Master Data tool. After multiple rounds of enrichment and validation by the business, the Master Data Consultant will use specific SAP upload tools to upload the data in SAP and get approval from the business on data integrity and data quality. After project Go Live, the Master Data Consultant will hand over the newly created SAP master data to the business master data team for day to day maintenance.
Partner with the different SAP Business Consultants during the Business Blueprinting phase in order to identify the data elements in scope for the specific project, the different sourc! e systems that house these data elements and the best migratio! n approach in terms of mapping between source systems and SAP, cleansing and upload of the data to SAP. Document all the data requirements in a clear and structured way.
Determine the structure of each data element based on the Business Blueprint and in line with the Mohawk SAP global solution template. Partner with the Solution Architect and the Appplicatin Architects to understand the impact of specific data fields within and across SAP modules, but also between SAP and other applications.
Develop the data specifications based on the approved data requirements: provide answers related to sequence, type and length of the different data fields, possible values for the different data fields etc.
Advice and assist the legacy system team with the development of data extraction programs that will be used to retrieve all master data out of the legacy system in a format that maps all the legacy information to the newly defined data specifications and ma! pping. Assist with the data extraction itself.
Advice and assist with the development of the upload tool that will be used to upload all future master data in the Master Data tool. Generate the first dataset by uploading the extracted data in the Master Data tool. Optimize the data by updating it in line with the data specifications. Assist the business with enriching the data by populating values for mandatory fields that the legacy system could not provide.
Perform iterative rounds of data cleansing, enrichment and transformation until the data in the Master Data tool is approved by the business.
Work with the SAP Developers to adapt SAP data upload programs where needed.
Execute the data upload from the Master Data tool into the requested SAP environments (test or production) and obtain final validation from the business on the Master Data in the SAP production environment.
Train and provide the business master data team with ! all the documentation related to the new master data. Hand over the mas! ter data for daily maintenance to the business master data team once the data has successfully been loaded in the production environment.
Document all implemented solutions and changes.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Economics, Engineering or related discipline, with a strong interest in / affinity with information technology. Or, an equivalent combination of education and training that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job.
Minimum of 3 year job specific master data work experience (preferably in SAP) with demonstrated professional growth and achievement. Prior work experience in a manufacturing organization of comparable size, business diversity, scope and complexity a plus.
Knowledge of SAP processes, SAP upload programs, SAP query tools, etc. is definitely a plus.
Demonstrated experience and unde! rstanding of ERP applications, system development life cycle, dynamics of applications development projects, Information Technology practices and methods. Knowledge of EAI / integration principles a plus.
Knowledge of the principles, techniques and methodology of project management, quality management, and change management
Proficient using PC, Internet and Microsoft Office suite. Experience with using other tools to manage large data volumes is a plus.
