Job Summary:
In partnership with Sales, Underwriting, the Service teams, brokers and the Customer, execute the business service pl! an for a $30M block of business including, but not limited to:
Conducting regular, proactive communication with the Benefits Administrator (BA)
Facilitating resolution of all service issues/concerns; providing front-line service for all matters important to the BA for their benefit plans
Manage and track performance guarantees for each customer
Manage the entire plan amendment process
Coordinate claims issues and provide regular status updates
Conduct regular case reviews with internal departments as well as with the customer, reviewing claims experience and administrative processes
Train BA's on SLF administrative processes and legislative changes that impact their benefit administration practices
Build relationships with key brokers, customers and accounts:
Develop a deep understanding of each customers individualized needs and expectations
Translate customer needs into customized ! business service plans
Mobilize support staff to main! tain and strengthen account relationships
Manage the customer relationship to achieve client retention goals
Collaborate with Sales and Underwriting to obtain and successfully on-board new business:
Actively participate in the sales process by attending finalist presentations as the Sun Life relationship manager and selling the Sun Life service value story
In partnership with the Enrollment team, facilitate the enrollment strategy for each National Account customer and execute enrollment events to maximize participation levels
Partner with Sales, Underwriting, the Service Units and the Customer to develop a service strategy that effectively meets the individualized needs and expectations of the Customer within the construct of the capabilities of the Service Units' infrastructure
In partnership with the National Account Implementation teams, actively participate in the customer acquisition implementation plan to ensure a! smooth transition as the customer moves from the implementation phase into the ongoing service of their account
Conduct face-to-face customer installations
Generate revenue growth
Identify additional sales opportunities during the ongoing servicing of the account
Participate in the renewal process as the Sun Life relationship manager
Retain existing customers, expanding inforce business and achieving client satisfaction
Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree
3 - 5 years Account Management experience in Group Insurance (National Accounts experience preferred)
Demonstrated success in obtaining and managing high profile profitable customer relationships
Life/Health licensing preferred
Strong understanding of National Accounts marketplace and customer expectations
Ability to efficiently establish high-level of credibility with both external and internal customers
St! rong interpersonal skills
Excellent communication skills - inc! luding demonstrated presentation skills
Strong organizational and facilitation skills
Strong negotiation and decision-making skills
Effective in managing others through complex issues
Ability to achieve results through others utilizing indirect authority
