W! e currently have an exciting contract opportunity for a Revenue Cycle Coordinator at a Dallas health care provider.
Responsibilities and prospects for professional growth include:
Assist Director of Revenue with documentation of new departmental policies and procedures.
Follows/promotes operational policies, processes and best practices within functions of billing operations, patient accounts, claims processing of commercial and government insurance contracts, billing and compliance, and accounts receivable management.
Responsible for ensuring that all personnel within the Billing Department adhere to affiliate and department policies
Oversees daily balancing and payment posting procedures and ensures accurate posting and reconciliation of third party reimbursements to patientsâ accounts in billing system
Works with the Director in developing and monitoring systems that ensure the accuracy of billing data
Follows and takes appropriate acti! on in support of policies designed to ensure claim follow-up; ! monitor unpaid claims; and resubmit claims as necessary
Assist the Director with monitoring of coding policies, procedures and documentation
Oversees the month end A/R closing process and account reconciliation ensuring that processes are completed accurately and on-time
Verifies that transactions comply with Medical Billing policies and procedures and all applicable government and insurer regulations
Education and experience required:
Bachelorâs degree in business administration and/or 3-5 years equivalent work experience
5 years professional billing experience, preferably in health care services (billing, A/R follow-up, claims processing)
Minimum 3 years of Medicaid and Managed Care/Commercial experience.
Must have excellent computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Internet.
Must have the willingness and ability to adapt to change including advances or new technology. Must have exce! llent customer service skills and be committed to providing the highest level of customer satisfaction.
