Job Description Summary/Essential Duties:
Serves as college Director of Athletics and primary coordinator of recreational and credit instructional offering directed to the surrounding communities. Works with area senior citizen organizations and other special interest groups to devise viable programmatic offerings. Coordinates among various college workgroups and individuals to accomplish established goals. Assumes primary roles in representing college to state, regional, and national athletic governance agencies. Assures viable athletic s! chedules for all sports. Shares recruitment duties with coachi! ng staff.. Develops budget for athletics and interfaces with the appropriate instructional dean to assure optimum budgetary support for all programs. Represents the college with external individuals and organizations within the college service area to advance the athletics program and community recreational offerings. Works with various college departments and/or divisions to establish and achieve the goals of the campus and the athletics department. Collects and maintains student-athlete data in order to provide accurate information for reports and/or information about the athletic programs. Hires, trains and evaluates assigned staff. Performs related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree plus three years of experience in a post-secondary athletic role, including experience as a head coach. Ability to utilize computer technology to access data, maintain records, generate reports and communicate with others. Or! al and written communication skills to effectively interact with individ! uals from diverse backgrounds and varying levels of DCCCD staff. The ability to provide quality customer service. Official transcripts may be required.
