The Director of Nursing Services directs and coordinates the activities of Nursing and support staff in a large unit or multiple units to ensure patient care is provided in accordance with the establis! hed Baylor Health Care System (BHCS) standards and legal requi! rements. Ensures that continuity of care is maintained during all shifts of a unit/units providing 24-hour patient care. Develops reviews, revises, submits, and implements procedures, goals, and objectives for assigned Nursing unit/units. Develops, submits, and administers budgets for assigned area. Monitors, evaluates, and modifies staffing patterns in order to properly utilize Nursing and support staff to provide patient care. Identifies excellence in the delivery of Nursing services to patients, promotes quality in a milieu that supports professional practice, and provides a mechanism for the dissemination of Best Practices in Nursing services.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree required.
Master's Degree required
Texas RN License required.
5 years of experience with progressive responsibility required.
Previous Director experience preferred.
