Must have a two year degree, two years experience and receive MRPT clearance to be successful candidate.
Responsibilities:
Analyze and reconcile Treasury Reports and Treasury Statement of Difference to DoS financial systems' reports
Processes and verifies a multitude of different transaction types into RFMS-D.
Review invoices, journal vouchers or statements, verifying information and if questionable, resolve with submitting office.
Balances and reconciles USDO US Dollar and Local Currency accounts.
Resolve problems in recurring assignments in accordance with previous training and experience.
Create and maintain appropriate journals or subsidiary ledgers to support Regional Financial Management Systems â€" Disbursing (RFMS-D) transactions.
Analyze and reconcile computer printouts with USD or Local Currency bank statements and research causes for discrepancies, taking action to insure a! ccount balances.
Provide suggestions for handling unusual ! or non-recurring transactions.P
Provides support via e-mail or telephone to appropriate personnel at CGFS Charleston, US Embassies, Treasury, Federal Reserve, Consular Affairs and other government agencies.
Analyze and validate USD checks received. Prepare daily bank deposit. Scan checks through Paper Check Conversion system if required.
Knowledge of standardized bookkeeping and accounting procedures and techniques used in banking or accounting systems.
Experience with Microsoft Office products required.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, diverse, multi-cultural environment with respect and consideration for all involved in daily responsibilities.
Desirable knowledge:
Treasury Over the Counter Revenue Collection processes
Credit card regulations and processing to include charge backs
Overseas cashier duties and accountability
Check issuance, cancellation, or check stock inventory processes.
Experience with DoS financial ! systems preferred.
Job Requirements
Two year degree required with related field study
Two years experience in related field required, including experience in posted job description above.
Firm knowledge of Microsoft office systems required
Abilty to receive MRPT security clearance required
Ability to work in a fast-paced, ever evolving, multi-cultural environment with understanding and respect for all concerned.
Preferred Qualifications:
Excellent organizational, accounting skills, bank reconciliation preferred.
