Position is responsible for the management of budgeting, forecasting, and financial and operational reporting to drive growth, profitability and business performance. The position will lead the analysis that aids in the decision-making process toward profitable management of stores, and establishes and monitors the P&L as well as core metrics and other financial KPIs. The position also works with senior management to ensure budgets and long range plans link to and incorporate strategic business plan objectives. Preparation of monthly financial forecast for Neiman Marcus Group operating companies and related budget/forecast variance analysis Comparison of variances between monthly operating results and forecast/plan Preparation of annual operating plan for Neiman Marcus Group operating companies as well as coordination of coordination of plan Preparation of 5 year plan for Neiman Marcus Group operating companies Review and analysis of store level operating results and performance Analysis of competitor operating results Drive overall expense performance at both the corporate and store levels Lead financial analysis related to special projects and initiatives at the request of senior management Complete understanding of financial planning and analysis with ten or more years of accounting, finance and professional managerial experience Highly developed interpersonal , verbal and written communication skills, including outstanding presentation skills and ability to communicate clearly, concisely and persuasively at all levels of the organization Demonstrated ability to establish positive relationships and work effectively with all internal and external constituencies with excellent people management and development skills E xecutive presence, sound business judgment, and determination with the a bility to set and meet strategic objectives Handles detailed, complex concepts and problems and makes timely decisions using s ound judgment. Bachelor's degree in Finance and/or Accounting from a four-year college or university required. MBA is preferred. Prior consulting experiences a plus Prior retail experience preferred
